About
A friend convinced me to pursue my life-long passion of photography by starting fotos by ford. That was in 2012 and the journey has been incredible and rewarding. My interest in nature has lead me to some spectacular locations. Being able to share these experiences, through my images, has become my raison d'être.
I was honored in August, 2016 to serve the National Park Service (NPS) as the first-ever Artist-in-Residence at Pecos National Historical Park near Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since then I have been selected by the NPS as an artist-in-residence at Capulin Volcano National Monument and photographer-in-residence at Valles Caldera National Preserve. My relationship with the park service has continued and expanded to teaching workshops and special projects.
My work has been included in numerous publications, exhibitions and shows and is available at multiple galleries in New Mexico.
In 2018, I became the first photographer in the state to be certified New Mexico True.
Hopefully, you will enjoy my work as much as I did capturing the images.
Stan Ford
